Medical and Dental Volunteers

CERT clinics rely on physicians, advanced practice providers (APP), dentists and dental professionals to diagnose and treat patients. Due to the nature of volunteering, the professional make-up of each team is different. Medical and dental professionals from all backgrounds and educational levels work side-by-side to provide comprehensive care for our patients.

We invite all medical and dental professionals to join us. All volunteers work in highly collaborative care teams that require every team member to provide excellent care for each patient.

Healthcare clinics are general practice and focus on the overall health of the patient while emphasizing proper education. Patients will be triaged initially with a basic history and chief complaints. Providers can expect to spend 10 to 15 min with each individual.

Dental care is limited in developing nations. Professional dental services greatly improve the overall health of communities abroad. Dentists can expect to primarily focus on teeth extractions. There is also a large desire for teeth cleanings when available.

CERT travels with a full pharmacy and each medical and dental professional is provided with a list of medications that will be available.
